The weather is good year 'round, particularly from May through September, and the summer heat is moderated by gentle breezes that blow in from San Francisco Bay. In the evening there are fabulous sunsets over Mt. Diablo, while on the water, geese and blue heron grace the shoreline

King Island Resort is located at Honker Cut and Disappointment Slough in the heart of the San Joaquin waterway, just 15 minutes north of downtown Stockton. We're also just two hours from the bright lights and cultural attractions of San Francisco, the jewel of the Pacific Coast. So, not only will you find our easy deep-water access a pleasure, you'll find us very convenient too. Great service is a real plus for any resort, and you'll get plenty of it here.
